After leaving Lafayette College and a brief career in engineering, Larry founded ParaScience International in 1976 to pursue the exploration of fortean anomalies and consciousness. His 1978 controversial article “Meltdown.at TMI-2″ would 8 months later be termed by The New York Times “uncannily accurate” in presaging the future of that nuclear meltdown. That article expanded into the first of three pioneering books – The Parapsychological Impact of the Accident at Three Mile Island. He is also author of The Reiki Handbook and Ablaze!: The Mysterious Fires of Spontaneous Human Combustion.
He is regarded by some as the world expert on spontaneous human combustion (SHC) and, consequently, by others as a world-class fool.
He has appeared on hundreds of radio programs and scores of TV shows, including “Unsolved Mysteries” on both NBC and SpikeTV, “That’s Incredible!” on ABC, “Leeza,” “Paranormal Borderline,” also SciFi, Fox, FoxRealityTV, ABC Family, Discovery, TLC, History International, Bio, A&E, and, among others, the National Geographic TV series “Is It Real?”
